Introducing the Rewards Program

UPDATE: The freebies are all gone — for now!

I’m starting up a rewards program as a way of thanking all my readers who keep giving me money for the crazy things I dream up instead of calling the authorities about me. Send me your email address for the chance to win prizes such as postcard shorts, comics, and stories, as well as the opportunity to be the first one asked for bail money or organ donations. I’ll probably send out the odd message about works in progress and appearances and such, but I promise not to bombard your inbox with “ZOMG! I just traded foreign rights to Antarctica for a penguin!” messages or to sell your address to spammers. Unless the price is right, of course. The first 10 people to sign up get a free postcard from me!

A little while ago I did a Q&A with HarperCollins’ Savvy Reader to promote my new book, The Warhol Gang. It’s up now, and the book will be following next month.

1. Give it up –what’s the most embarrassing song on your iTunes? Why did you download it in the first place?

“Champagne Supernova” by Oasis. I don’t know how it got there. It just showed up in my library after a night hanging out in Russian chat rooms while drinking scotch. What the hell do those lyrics mean?

Anxieties are fantasies.

(I ride across this bridge most days. It’s actually collapsed before.)
